Renew your Full First Aid at Work Certificate with our 2-day Regulated Requalifier course
If you renew your first aiders' 3-day certificates before they expire, you can benefit from our 2-day Requalifier course. This reduces the cost of extending their qualification, while minimising their time out of the office. It's a win-win.
The course covers the full First Aid at Work syllabus in only 12 hours, run over 2 days, and includes all practical and written assessments required to qualify for a further 3 years.
This course is only for those who already hold a valid, in-date, 3-day first aid at work certificate. Candidates will need to bring along a copy of their current certificate, along with photo ID, in order to sign on to the course.
The course is split into two units, usually over two days, and covers the following content:
In unit 1 the learner must:
Unit 1 includes practical assessments for CPR and AED, recovery position, choking and wounds and bleeding. It also includes a multiple choice questionnaire covering other aspects of the unit.
In unit 2 the learner must:
Unit 2 includes two practical assessments (Management of Fractures and Secondary Survey) and one multiple choice questionnaire.
This qualification and learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of the Resuscitation Council (UK) and Skills for Health Assessment Principles for First Aid Qualifications.
It is based on the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) training standard for delivery of First Aid at Work (FAW) courses for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, and is suitable for those who deal with first aid at work, enabling them to be first aiders under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
It comprises 2 mandatory units with a total value of 3 credits.
Please note - Minimum contact teaching hours apply to this qualification. Initial training should be delivered in no less than 12 hours (2 days).
Candidates must hold a current, in-date full First Aid at Work certificate in order to join the course. They'll also need to bring along a piece of photo identification in order to sign in at the start of the course.
